Kumon offers individualised Mathematics, English, and Pencil Skills programmes designed to help children develop self-learning ability and progress at their own pace.
Kumon is a learning programme that provides individualised instruction in Mathematics, English, Pencil Skills, Japanese, and Kokugo. The Kumon Method is based on four key aspects: learning at the 'just-right' level (between too easy and too difficult), self-learning where students learn what they haven't yet been taught at school, structured worksheets that develop self-learning skills, and dedicated Kumon Instructors who discover and support each student's potential. Students progress through the programme at their own pace with meticulously designed worksheets. Kumon Mathematics covers number recognition, counting, writing, basic calculations (addition and subtraction), and progresses to fractions, decimals, algebra, equations, functions, and calculus. Kumon English develops reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, interpretation, and summarisation skills. The Pencil Skills programme is designed for early learners ages 3-4. Kumon equips students with self-learning ability to prepare them for tertiary education and their chosen career.
