Child and Family Health Nursing supports children aged 0-5 years and their families across South Western Sydney. Services include home visiting for newborns and families needing extra support, parenting groups, audiometry (hearing) clinics for ages 3 years to school leaving age, and orthoptics (vision) clinics for ages 0-5 years. The NSW State Wide Infant Screening Hearing Program (SWISH) offers newborn hearing assessments. Vision testing helps diagnose and treat eye problems, with referrals accepted from the Statewide Eyesight Preschooler Screening (StEPS) program. Clinics are available at multiple community health centres across South Western Sydney.
