The School of Distance Education

Charters Towers School of Distance Education provides quality education to school-aged children across the state, country and world. The school was the first Distance Education school to open in Queensland in 1987 and uses traditional and modern communication methods including mail, telephone, audio-teleconferencing, video, and the Internet to enable learning across distance.
